In exactly one week, I will be off to the exciting city of Edinburgh, Scotland. It seems so surreal and alarming as I procrastinate on packing and confirming all last minute details. I have never experienced a different culture or country in my entire life and this will be my first. Alone. Lost. Petrified. It is almost like the shock of going to college for the first time. You have a certain idea of what it is and what it will be like. However, it is never anything one had an ever imagined. It is mind-blowing and shocking in every way possible. How do you prepare to go to a whole new country? To live in weather you have never experienced before? How do you meet people in a whole new culture of life? Well, I will know in one week and hopefully it is better once I am there as everyone has told me. The things that frighten me the most, are being alone, making absolutely no friends, being too picky to eat anything, dying from the cold weather, and studying for one or two tests that define my entire grade. I am also scared of being lost and not knowing where I am. Until next Tuesday, the packing commences.
